I was wondering how much fluctuating temps goldies can take? It usually goes from 76 during the day to 72-74 at night. Most of my tropical tanks have heaters, the ones that dont seem to be handling it well, Im just worried about the goldies since they r so much more vulnerable to diseases. Do I need a heater or is this little change ok? I hope it'll b ok cause I dont have any more plugs anywhere close to plug in a heater, the tank already uses 6 plugs on 2 outlets.

thats a normal temp fluctuation, mine do that now. a bad fluctuation would be a 5-6 degree one.....just keep your eyes on them. biggrin.gif

dont sweat it right now, my tank heater died and the other had to go to the SW tank so right now i have a small heater trying to keep the 80 gal tank at 70F, it does drop down alittle to 68F at night since the heater isnt the right size...mine are all okay, been like this for weeks biggrin.gif
