i was wondering if feeding shrimp to goldies could give them more protein in their diet. Would it kind of like feeding bloodworm to them? I'm having a hard time getting bloodworms, so could shrimp kind of be a replacement? Would it help with wen growth? and one more question, how would we prepare it?

thanks! biggrin.gif

btw, the shrimps will be addictive free and frozened, we buy our shrimp right from the boat biggrin.gif

I asked this same question a while back as I wanted to use cooked, frozen shrimp and thaw them out and chop them into pieces to feed my fish. No one answered me, though.

how about earthworms???

or those feeder crickets from the pet store?
Katalyst
I puree them in a blender and add them into my gel food recipe, my fish go bonkers for it.

i cant go to petsmart very often, maybe once a month if i'm lucky krazy.gif But if i go, i would have to chose frozen bloodworms over creepy crawlies, they are scary! But i dont think i'll be able to go any time soon, so i was hoping to use shrimp for a while, u know, to add some protein biggrin.gif I would definietly try some pureed shrimps in my next gel batch, thanks! biggrin.gif

do u guys know if it's okay to feed them raw shrimp, will that do any damage? unsure.gif

I microwaved a large shrimp in a bit of water last week, then removed the shell and chopped it into little pieces. My goldies went INSANE for it. There were a few bigger pieces they were chewing on for a couple of hours. It seemed to really be a great thing to feed them smile.gif

I've only used processed shrimp. I didn't trust the raw shrimp.
