This question grew out of my thread in the water quality forum, but it probably fits better here. I'm going to be salting my tank, plus my plants are new and I'd like to quarantine them. Besides clean water and light, what else will my plants need to stay alive in a bucket until I'm ready to put them in my tank? I won't have any unsalted fish water to share with them.

they need nutrition this is done by absorbing fish waste and other things in the water. that is not really needed as long as they have good lighting on the tank that should be fine
