I started breeding them in the Spring and have gotten hooked on them. Hmm I'm pretty sure I know someone in Austraila with coloured brigs. Let me email her and maybe she can help you out.

OMG!!!!!....I would love to get some colored Apple Snails!!! I spent like $100+ a couple of years ago ordering some form overseas, but they didn't get through customs. If you do know anyone in Australia with colored ones, I would love to hear from them

Katalyst, your snails are beautiful!! I especially love the big pileup picture! I haven't seen colored ones like that here in the States for years, unfortunately. Actually with all the new restrictions, I haven't seen Brigs or any other apples in a very long time. There was a rumor that it was illegal to import them from state to state. The colored ones like yours used to be very plentiful here.

If you click on 'Discussions' on the left hand side of the menu in green it will take you to a snail forum. There is a snail exchange thread where people post, trade/sell/buy. In the spring/summer there are usually a lot of people offering up snails for the cost of shipping. I bet you someone there would be able to send you snails within the State. If you need help send me a pm and I'll see if I can't find someone to send you some.

For Brigs how many gallons of water per do you need?
I have read places 2.5 gallons each snail, but I am unaware if that is for Brigs since they don't grow as big as others.
