Oye-vey! krazy.gif I finally fix my little girls "floaty issue" and now yet another one of my babies has a problem. This time it's my little Butterfly, he's got red streeks on his back anial fins, the ones between his tail. I've delt with this issue before with a different goldie about 2-3 months ago, but it just poped back up in a different goldie about 2 days ago. Not only that, but my little Butterfly has yet to get any bigger than 4 inches and all my other fish are about 5 inches. I've had him for about 4 months now too!! blink.gif I'm about to pull out my hair!! krazy.gif *starts complaining in giberish* Anyways, I've been a fish hobbiest for about 1 and 1/2 years now, and I still haven't gotten the hang of everything except keeping the water levles fine and feeding the little, er fat, buggers! (Butterfly not being one of them)

I'm sorry about your troubles with you fish. I feel the same way sometimes. These little buddies we have throw us one curve after another! LOL! I hope all gets well for you soon!

I hope so too. The last time this happened, I did a lot of water changed, and it seemed to help, I'll have to start doing that rutine again. I just hope he'll get better and not have this be a serious thing. sad.gif

It can be very frustrating..... 00001649.gif

It is worth considering that many goldfish problems can be "stacked". One problem may be obscured by another one - sometimes several deep. If you solve one problem, you uncover another. Many times the "original" problem is a result of the stress (or parasites or....something) caused by an underlying problem (or two or three).

Peeling back that "onion" (good grief - I cannot believe I actually typed that tired old "saw""!!!!!! rolleyes.gif Sorry) can help you, slowly, solve all the problems there.... one by one, until you are successful.

Everything is fine although the PH keeps ettig a lttle low. I check PH regularly 1-2 times every 2 weeks.

Yesh, yesh they can be.

About little Butterfly - it might just be a genetic thing. Not every fish is meant to be big and huge, or fat for that matter. For example, orandas can be short and fat, and you'll find just as many who are rather slender and long. Genes, those little buggers!
