I noticed awhile ago that Stripe broke his tail fin at the top. I just wanted to make sure that its not hurting him or anyhting, what do u think? I'll try to get a pic later, will it heal?

I've had this happen to a couple of fish. Usually it just stays that way forever, kind of flopped. I'm sure it does hurt them at first sad.gif but once it heals it's ok. For now just keep the water pristine and keep an eye for infection.

oh ok, well its kinda whitish around that area, is that bad? It doesnt look like fungus or anything. His tail isnt flopped over or anything, just kinda bent down near the top, but u can see its broken. Poor baby, I probably broke it whe trying to catch him in a net to move him to his new tank cry2.gif , or was it already like that before......I dont know but I hope its not huritng him anymore, he's a very special little fishie and I love him alot!

Don't worry too much, it's a fairly common injury. I broke my fish's also when trying to net him once rolleyes.gif . It will be white at first but should go back to normal as it heals.
