Well, i've been asking my mom for the past couple of weeks if we could finally order the de-icer, but she keeps saying that we can wait till december, but now the pond is starting to freeze over! I wont have much longer till its completely frozen over, hopefully she'll let me get it today.

I live in Michigan and it's still pretty warm.

well, now my mom is saying we cant get anything for the pond that uses electricity cause mice already destroyed the cable for our fountain. I've tried telling her that things exist that u can put over the wire (she wouldnt believe me! Welcome to the 21st century!!!!) I also told her that we could bury the wire, sheesh, parents are so hard to convince! Anyway, I cant find a tetra pind de-icer on ebay that they'll ship to Canada so this year I might go with a thermo pond de-icer. Okanagon koi recommended both for our area although they said tetra is just slightly better but we can try the other one this year, luckily the ice has melted again.
