I'm looking for a good online place to buy aquarium plants. Has anyone bought from a place that they like?

The only plants I ever bought online were from eBay. I don't remember who the seller was, but I was kinda dissapointed. The plabts weren't as big as they were supposed to be and they weren't very healthy. I buy my plants now from Petsmart. They sell some from I think it's Tetra, but the plants are healthy, big, and look really good.

Carli, They opened a Petco by me a couple of months ago and they have a nice selection of plants either bagged or in-tank. You say you live in the Midwest and maybe they have a location close to you. Also, Dr. Foster and Smith has an affiliate company that sells stuff online : Liveaquaria
I've been to the Dr. foster and Smith store and it is very nice.

I hadn't thought of Petco but they just opened a new one here. Thanks! I'll look up the other one too. smile.gif I should be able to find something between the two.

petco has plants, but just make sure you ask for the "snail- free" plants. If you buy plants straight
from their tanks, be sure to quarantine the plants for a few days in a bucket with water, adding a few pennies or copper
solution to the water so the snails die. If not, the snails are an invasive species and will take over your tank. krazy.gif

Thanks for the tip Richie. smile.gif

i would not use copper as copper liquid from the water can become trapped in the roots and then when you put the plant in the tank your fish can get sick or die. i would do a simple bleach dip the is a bleach topic stickied at the top of this forum
