Yesterday I was cleaning the pond with the fry in it (boy have they grown!) since we are leaving them in there this winter. Hubby insists it's right thing to do. Anyway, I was cleaning leaves and junk since I got so far behind and afterward I fed the babies. I saw another fish!!!! He is either all gray or black and hard to see in this water. Wow! This ponding just keeps getting more interesting as we go!
I am running so far behind.... I haven't checked water temp but air temps are going down in the thirties some nights now. And the leaves are horrendous. We have maples all around us. I got to hunt up the netting and buy some more. Last year I just shut down the big pond but now that's where the fry are so I need to net it also. That should be pretty creative since there is a waterfall and stream attached!
I'll post pictures of what I figure out on that.
Okay, gotta go, just wanted to share about the "new" fry!

I can't really get any pics right now as he is so hard to see and very quick when he does come to the surface. Plus My pond water is so dirty from leaves right now it's embarrasing. We've gotten way behind on pond maintainence being busy with other things.
