Does anyone know an easy way to make a tank divider, cause I need to divide one of my 5 gallons so I can get 1 of the fish out of his breeding trap but I cant find dividers for 5 gallons anywhere.

For larger tanks, I usually recommend using the plastic grid stuff that is sold for ceiling light covers - the 1/2 inch grid is very rigid and can be sealed into place very easily for a semi-permanent tank divider.
For such a small tank as a 5 gallon, I would hesitate to use up any valuable water space with even the 3/8 inch thickness of the plastic grid.
Instead, I would suggest that you use the plastic grid stuff that is sold in hobby or fabric stores for needlepoint. You can get it pretty strong and thick - and cut it with regular scissors to the size you need. I have used the plastic sliding hinges they sell with really cheap report covers to hold it, sealing the hinge edges to the tank sides. It is a pretty easy, good, thin divider.
If you simply need a quick divider, why not float a small colandar in the tank..... you might find one that is bigger than the breeding trap. 5 gallons is soooooooooo small..........................

yes I know 5 gallons is small, and its overstocked, but its the best I have for these fish and they're always been happy so far, I might soon get them a 10 gallons once I can finally get a bigger tank for Taco, this will have to do for now and I do a 50% waterchange every week so water is perfect.

You could cut a piece of clear plaxiglass to the size you need and use that for a divider.
