Some of these are dark or blurry, and I'm real sorry about that (hopefully this will improve as I get more used to the camera!!). This is another shot of Pinky, the blood parrot. Blurry, but it shows her basic body shape.

One of the clown loaches and a black skirt tetra. On a side note, the black skirts (there are 5 of them) will be going on 6 years old in June.....

Okay, different tank now....this is a little 5g that has 6 zebra danios. Before anyone can get upset, this is really just a holding tank. My first priority this year was getting new lights for the saltwater tank as my old ones were a not so good DIY project and the corals needed new lighting....which I got. My very next project is to get the 2 goldies out of their 20g tank and into a 40g hex tank. The danios will then be placed into the 20g. BTW, 3 of these danios are the new "Glo-Fish" you know, the genectically altered fish. They looked so good in the store and they were so cheap and all....well, I couldn't resist!! I haven't bought the black light to see them glow at night yet though....

LOL,
Fast little guys! I really like your clown, clown loaches are lovley. Their faces always make me think of elephants! Do you know what I mean? The way it goes longer to their mouth (looks like the top of a trunk) and their eyes are in similar places.
Is it just me?!

No, it's not just you!!

They do have the elephant type forehead if you know what I mean....but it isn't just their cute looks it's their whole personality that makes them special! First time I saw one sleeping on it's side I nearly panicked!

Mine will make the weirdest noise at the waters surface....kind of a smacking sucking sound! Took me awhile to figure out it was the fish and not a filter going bad!!!

LOL,
Do you know what you should do watermama to get your clown to love you more? Give him an algae wafer... they go MAD for those. And, you get to enjoy the clicking sounds they make when eating it. I don't know how they do it but they seem to bite into things. I gave mine cucumber weighed down yesterday and when I fished it out the next day it was all rough with little holes where my 3 clowns had been gobbling it!
Oh, I am glad it's not just me who thinks they have an elephant look about them!

Try zucchini....they adore the stuff!! Well, it's not only the loaches that love it, just about all of my fish do (not the black skirts though)....
Yeah, it's good to know you're not crazy, you know, thinking that clown loaches have elephant heads.....or maybe we're
both crazy.....hmmmm......

Thanks!

Yeah, I agree, the fish do seem to get very excited every time I get near the tank......I'm sure it's because I'm the one that feeds them. What I really need is a fishy tranquilizer so they will stay in one place long enough for me to get a shot in!!

Hey watermama
What is zucchini - I know it's either called cucumber or courgette over here
Zucchini is a green squash... shaped much like a cucumber.
Watermama, I'm jealous, I want 1 or 2 of those glo-fish to put with my other danios... but they're $8 at the only store here that has them! That's a little pricey for a danio! They don't seem to be selling too quickly, maybe the price will go down soon.

Wow, that IS a high price....I paid $3.99 which I thought was high but what the heck......even though I still don't have a blacklight, they are very pretty fish, they stand out really well with the regular danios too....when I move these guys to the 20g I want to get more of the regular zebras, maybe another glo fish and then a couple of the leopard danios.....talk about an active tank!!

try a couple of tiger danios, they are awesome. Their colouring is great, and they are more active than the zebras, and a little larger.
