In one of my 10 gallon tanks I have 3 ruby barbs and 1 golden barb. Im thinking of adding 2 african dwarf frogs, and maybe 1 cory. Do cories do ok alone? If not then I wont get any cause I dont wanna overstock the tank too much. They get a 30-50% waterchange weekly, so Im not worried about bad water quality from overstocking the tank, and I thought that a cory would help keep the bottom cleaner. Any thoughts?

Before the internet and for many many years I would keep just one cory. Had one live 10 years. My sister even kept one cory in a godlfish bowl. lol
Can you do it. yes But should you? I wouldn't now that I know more about them.

I wouldnt get one. You seem like your kinda at your limits already. Cories are also schooling fish and they like to be in groups of atleast 3 or 4.

I wouldn't reccomend putting cories by themselves. They like to have other buddies, preferabley of the same species, to look out for one another. A single cory might not feel secure by himself and may actually have a shortened lifespan because of it. I don't know much about stocking rules other than the gallon an inch per fish thing, so depending on how big the fish you currently have in your tank, you may have reached your limit already, so probably a no on the Pygmys, too. Sorry, probably not the answer you wanted, just giving you what I know. Hope this helps!

Agree with Fishlord1, you shouldn't keep a single cory on its own. Although lone corys probably survive, they won't be anyway near as happy as they would be in a group

ok, I want whatevers best for the fish, so no cories, I might get the froggies this weekend though! I didnt think they were actually so easy to take care of and I didnt think they'd be compatible with fish, they're so cute I cant wait, thanks monkeybat for showing me that site

make sure you get african dwarf frogs and not african clawed frogs. Not sure how to tell the difference, but you don't want african clawed frogs.
