Finally getting my 125 tank set up! heartpump.gif

I'm starting a shopping list and hoping to get everything ordered before the end of today. I'm really anal about comparing, reviews, prices, etc..so it takes me forever. rofl3.gif

Here's the beginning of my list:

1. Rena FilStar xp4 External Canister Filter
2. Tetra Whisper Air Pump 100UL
3. Battery Powered Air Pumps (to get ready for possible hurricanes this season), but we do have a home generator already, so hopefully am prepared.
4. Ceramic Bio-Stars

Still looking at lighting, glass tops, bubble wands, etc...

Am I missing anything?

Yeah hon - bare as a baby's behind. hah.gif

Actually, I'm saving decor for later, because I know exactly what I want to do. I'm going to use some scattered large black river rocks, and two statues, one at each end. I'm looking for a budha and Chinese tower that are aquarium safe (or can be made aquarium safe). Then I'll be adding lots of live plants.

Do you already have a filter or two cause that does not sound like enough for that big of a tank for goldies.
RYUU
Sounds pretty don't forget a strong back to lift it all!

This place has the most amazing prices, I am so impressed!

We built an awesome stand for it, and my DH says the tank is light to him, however, I think we'll have to get the next door neighbor to help him lift it onto the stand.

Ok but a 120 gallon tank needs 1020 gph.

I have two Emperor Bio Wheels that I'll be adding that are on my 55 right now. The canister is in addition to what I already have. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I think I'm doing this for lighting, the most expensive piece of the puzzle:

60" Orbit 4x65 Watt SunPaq with Lunar Light & Fan

Ahh ok sounds good so far. Can't wait to see pictures.

Adding two of these too:

Double Hydro Filter V

Does anyone have any experience with these:

Pentair Aquatics (Rainbow Lifegard) Triple Chemical Filter Module AF-93-29

Looks very interesting.

Lola, did you win the lottery or something????? Maybe the showcase showdown on Price is Right????? Wow, you are living my dream. I want a 125 SO BADLY!!!!!! I found one on craigslist for $400 today, including stand and filteration, but wasn't sure if I should get it.... My hubby might burst a vessle, LOL. I really, really, really want one though!!!!!

I really like the idea of the japanese lantern too. The local chain petstore has cool dragons, but I wish they were bigger. I'd love a 125 one planted with plants, CO2, ultra great lighting and angelfish -- like an Amano tank,,,,,,, OR barebottom with goldfish galore in there.... smile.gif

Is the Tetra Whisper air pump you're talking about the new kind that are blue and look like a bug (sort of) with the feet? I ask because I just bought one and it's the noisiest thing I've ever heard. I literaly just plugged it in a half hour ago and it's driving me crazy. I've got to return it. I also bought a Top Fin model with dual output for the QT room in the basement and I hardly hear it at all. I'm going to get one of those when I go back to return the Tetra Whisper tomorrow. The tetra was a disappointment.....

I think those are hit or miss sometimes. I have one on my 55 and it's quiet as a mouse. I'll be keeping the receipt though on this new one, just in case. rofl3.gif

I had some money sitting around that I was going to use to buy a horse, but I've decided to put off the horse until the beginning of the year. My fish need a bigger home. yeah.gif
