Apple snails will range is size depending on the kind. My Golden Apple snails won't get much bigger than a golf ball but my brown apple snails are fist size.

Its actually used interchangeably for pomacea bridgesii. Back when snails were first being shipped people werent sure what they were so they called them mystery snails. There are different types of apple snails, some that will get larger than others, and some that will eat plants and some that wont. There are also slightly different shell types.
