Hey,
I've previously always kept tropical/betta tanks. Now that I'm setting up a goldfish tank, I'm wanting to plant it like I've done with previous tanks, but I know that goldfish are particularly bad about nibbling on plants. Disregarding temperature requirement differences, are there any plants that you guys recommend specifically NOT putting with goldfish for any reason?

Good question. I don't know the answer though.

Hmmm any plants would be fine with gf, and most likely any plant would be snack for them
It depends on the individual fish though. I got a particular gf that eats tough plants like Java Ferns and Anubias down to the root!

I have had some luck with crypts, tiger lillies and plan to try some banana plants.

Thanks guys!
Hidr, I've had alot of betta that really loved banana plants ^_^
What about Java moss? Seems like the kind of thing goldfish might be really bad about ripping apart. Anyone had any luck with that?

I got some hornwort, at first my red cap oranda seemed to like it, now my red and white fantail wont stop uprooting it, then he eats the bottom!!! I think he's finally stopped with that though, I hope at least, I just put all plants back in place today, I guess we'll see tomorrow if they're still there lol, the biggest part of the plants is about 2 inches high now, originally it was about 4.
