Hello Friends,
I have a question that is prolly stupid, but what is the difference in a Marine tank and marine fish, and a saltwater tank and saltwater fish???
Nenn
^_^;; Don't feel stupid, I didn't know there was a difference either! Maybe one is suited for coral and one is not?
Man Yu
no difference. Marine=sea anyway. They basically all refer to aquariums or livestock from the saltwater side of the fishkeeping hobby.

Nickie
I didn't think there was, but I was not sure. Thanks!!!

Calling it a Marine tank sounds so much more exotic than just referring to it as a Salt water tank.

'Marine' makes me think of coral reefs and colourful fish

The only difference is in a marine tank or a marine fish only tank or a reef tank.

Marine tank has live animals and fish in it oh and plants.

Fish only well that's a tank with no inverts or plants (just rock and fish)

reef tanks are tanks that have live inverts and plants but no fish.

so there many lvls in that way but as for the marine vs salt water no difference what so ever. Kinda like tropical tank saying warm water tank.... biggrin.gif

Thanks, KoKo!!! I always wondered what people mean when they say they have "live sand" and "live rocks" for sale! blink.gif LOL! Now I get it!!!
