I want to get a canister filter fro my tank, preferably a rather cheap one, this one isnt cheap but its not as expensive as most filters. I dont need much more filtration for my tank so I figured this would do, anyone have any experience with these filters? They look ok to me.

oh, what about this one? Its also a UV sterilizer, are they any good? It doesnt have to work perfectly just good enough to filter the water and kill bacteria

I am not familiar with either of these filters - but they seem to be Eheim wanna-bees, perhaps.

There is a HUGE difference between the two. What size tank are you wishing to filter with one of these?

I will ALWAYS choose a filter that utilized ceramic over floss media - that is my particular preference. The ceramic is "forever" - floss needs to be replaced.

The information about the one is written by a distinctly non-English speaking person. Where is it coming from?

You do realize that you will have to pay as much in shipping as you do for the whole filter? Would you not, perhaps, be better off buying from a more "local" source such as BigAls or some such place?

One last, personal opinion. I avoid buying pieces of equipment that have built in components that combine two very important features. The filter with the built in UV is something I tend to avoid. UV sterlizers and filteres tend to have a very different life span. If one fails, the other is, unfortunately scrap!

I guess ur right about that, it would save alot of money though...... I could check out Big Als, but if they're too expensive my mom probably wont buy it, and she promised me a UV sterilizer but I doubt Im ever gonna get one cause she thinks they're too expensive. She always promises stuff but never keeps her promise sad.gif . Anyway, the tank is 46 gallons and already has an aquaclear 50, aquaclear 30, and fluval 2 plus filters.

I have a Jebo and it has worked well for me. No dramas. The only thing with it though is that it is difficult for me to get replacement filter media. I had to buy Aqau One filter media and cut it to fit the jebo

ok, thanks, maybe i'll look into getting one of those
