Ok, so Dyson has been an egg-laying machine here lately. Never mind the fact that I thought she was a boy, and Ivy a girl. Her 1st clutch was laid, I freaked, and went straight to applesnail.net. It turned out to be infertile. Her 2nd clutch, and I was ready. I watched it like a hawk, praying for babies. A week and a half later and my neighbor saw the first baby out of the clutch. They were hatching!! Back to the website. I counted about 20 in all. Not many, but hey, I had babies darnit! Here they are right after they hatched.....

I have 13 babies. A few of them will be big enough to let out of the net soon. So of course, I went and bought another tank..... Their fave foods are bell peppers and fish flakes. Momma has laid 2 more clutches since then, but I have hastily disposed of them. I was going to sell the babies to my lfs, but apparently Kentucky has joined the ranks of states that has put a ban on that. Ohwell...more for me! It's the coolest thing to watch them develop and grow.

Here they are in their 'home'...their breeder net until big enough for their new tank. All 13 are in there somewhere! Some of them are in a snail pile on the peppers..

Some of them are quite fond of doing the dead man's float. They are so cute! They have tiny little spots on their blue shells.

Congrautaltions! My snails laid a few clutches but they never hatched. Baby snails are so cute!
