Ink Fish
Hi,
This is my puffer Boo.

He is in a 16 gal tank now but I am going to put him in a 40 gal ASAP. Puffers can not tollerate ammonia or nitrite because they do not have scales. It has to be at 0.0 or Boo will go dark which means the water is not right or that he is scared. Different puffers like different food but mine loves snails. heartpump.gif He likes cracking them open I think. If your getting one don't put bubbles in the tank, it can get trapped under their fins. My fish loves the current when I do water changes.

I have to go and give him a snail now. He's hungry.

Bye.

I saw your other pictures too - Boo is a cutie alright!

I think it's really great that you (and your mum, Pixiefish) have thoroughly researched brackish tanks and the care of Puffers for some time before buying. I know you've been working towards getting a Puffer for some time and now he's here you can really enjoy looking after him exactly.gif
