Luckily I have a big pond that was barely stocked! Our local koi and pond supply store is having a huge sale on all of their koi. Buy 1 get 1 free and buy 4 get 6 free. We ended up with 10 small and medium koi, one of which is a young show quality shiro utsuri I forgot to take pictures of ignore.gif Really nice quality butterfly koi for buy one get one free. We picked two of course -

And we picked two of the really big guys as they were buy one get one free also.

Paimei, the Shusui

show quality Shiro Bekko. His head and fins will lighten up, his black will fill in... all in all this guy is going to be really, really nice

These pictures unfortunately do none of them justice sad.gif All in all we spent about 600 dollars in koi today, but the sale was completely insane! That's gonna do it for quite awhile though.

Thanks guys smile.gif The black and orange guy is indeed a Kin Ki Utsuri. His colors are so strong and he has perfect long fins. I am very pleased with this guy. I guess he isn't show quality because the colors smear together- but gorgeous none the less!

I have very high hopes for the Bekko, and when he colors up I think I might enter him at our local annual koi show smile.gif

Well, that was quite a shopping spree! You must have a had a lot of fun choosing them. Sounds like a great sale though and a good opportunity to stock up a pond exactly.gif I don't know much about Koi but they do look really wonderful, very grand and stately like all Koi seem to look like. Best of luck with them! smile.gif

Thanks smile.gif It definitely was a lot of fun to pick out these guys! Also a little stressful- there were so many people snapping things up I was always a little worried my pick would be gone before I could get him/her bagged! Fortunately I got to everything I wanted smile.gif

Here's some pics of the bottom pond (it has a smaller one that the waterfall runs from) - this is when we had just completed it so don't mind the mess around it! All that is gone now and well, it was a big project.

Looks kinda small there- smaller than it is anyway. And a pic from our deck that looks out over it -

Thanks for the compliments on the koi everyone smile.gif
