ok, so I got a live plant, hornwort to be exact. I was qt'ing it in an icecream pail, I gave it plenty of light, it was doing fine but now its completely fallen apart! I quickly took the main parts and put them in my tank, theres not much left of it now and I have about 100 litle pieces, why did that happen?

I dont know, around 5 days I think when it started falling apart

did you do the bleach dip, or something else to disinfect it? maybe that's what caused it.

That's too bad your plant died. I'm looking to get a bunch of hornwort pretty soon too.

If you still have the pieces, you should bag them up and demand a refund. A plant usually doesn't die that quickly.

Did you dechlorinate the water?
