Planning on getting a second water pump for my pond for added aeration and filtration. Pond experts smile.gif Looking for a pump that pumps around 500gph. Would you guys recommend any good pumps? Any bad pumps I should stay away from? Thanks..

I bought a laguna Max-Flow 2900 GPH last year from azponds.com and have really liked it a lot. It's done an excellent job of handling the water in my pond. I like the cage/basket it comes in as that keeps fish and large plant matter out.

The Max-Flow line also has a 600 GPH pump as well, so you may want to look at that.

As for aeration, you may want to add an air pump and airstones to the pond. A submersible water pump is not going to do anything about adding air to the pond. It's just going to move water, unless you pump the water up over a trickle tower or something. That would increase air flow, but an additional airstone or two works just as well.
