So, I cleaned out the 10 gallon my 5 females were in, I moved all my guppies into another 10 gallon, and as I'm scooting the gravel vac around, this one piece of "stuff" rapidly scooted away. It was a fry!!! None of my females even looked pregnant! I haven't seen any more babies in any of the tanks since.

So, now the little booger is in a business card sized box with an airstone. Good thing I didn't throw away my Hikari "FirstBites".....At least water changes will be easy. It should be safe in there, a whole lot safer than in the 2.5 gallon tank with the wild guppy or in the 5 gallon with the betta and barb.

Found two more in the 10 gallon with everyone, so SOMEONE is having babies....I'll have to check again before I go to bed.

Their little box has furnishings now, a tiny terra cotta pot, and some silk leaves sticking out of it.

That takes me back to when I first found my first fry, it was a molly, and it was in the tank at my grandmas house and she bought an all white molly, a black molly, and a dalmation molly and we didnt know too much about fish and this was in a 10 gallon and a couple of days later we had a fry and we saved it and put it with an airstone and it lived and grew to be an all white and then it died a couple of years later! I hope everything works out for you, sorry to go off on a rant like that smile.gif

Alright. So I put them in the 5 gallon planted tank with Clifford. 2 vanished. When I moved, I put the last one and the shrimp in a bag with all the plants, then put them and the 3 tropicals in the 5 gallon, Clifford went in the 2.5, and the last fry vanished overnight sad.gif

Since I'm home for the weekend now, I might pick out one or two of the month-old fry and bring them, they're too big to be eaten now.
