I have been going to a day camp this summer because my parents are never home most of the day, and there they had a Betta named Barney. He 's a beautiful fish, but his two gallon tank didn't look so beautiful. There was food and fish waste that was literally rotting at the bottom, and his water had a horrible brownish tinge to it. I knew if I didn't do something quick, he would surely die, so I cleaned his tank for them. Ever since I have been feeding him every day and cleaning his tank when needed. But they won't be having the program anymore, so since I took such good care of him they let me take him home with me to be my pet! So Barney the Betta is now my new friend to add to my fourteen tropical freshwater fish and my two goldfish newfish.gif . He is about two years old so he's a pretty ancient little guy, but I'm going to try to make the remainder of his life as happy as possible!
