Thank you! sitting by the pond and listening to all the tree frogs is the highlight of my evening, whatever stress I feel from the day just melts away while I watch the fish glide to and fro across the pond.

Thank you all for such nice comments!
Bluiis, I will post pics of the entire pond.. just need to mow around it and get some picker plants tamed.
Warzone, when I first bought the comets they were about 4 to 4.5 inches and the feeders were about 2 inches now they are about 7 inches and 4 inches and very much loved.
I just dug this pond in May and I really dont know how I ever got along without it!

More pics please! How many are they? Any names? Have you only had them since May?
I know exactly how it is to sit by the pond.... to see the fish swim by...

Anette, there are 6 Sarsas, 1regular comet, 1 common that is the same size as the comets and 5 feeders that are really too big to be called feeders anymore. I have only named one so far and her name is 'Lipstick" because it looks like she has lipstick on, the rest I have just called 'chompers' because everytime I add a new plant they chomp it down to nubs.

13 fish!? But "feeders" aren't they common goldfish? We don't have "feeder fish" in Sweden.

Wow, nice pics. Your fish are really pretty. I like the white with the orange spot -- very lovely. :-)
Do you have a filter on your pond? 700 gallons is a nice size for your "herd".

Gardengirl. I do have a filter but it is overwhelmed at the moment with blanket algae, the fry in the pond are loving all the algae but it is messy and I have to pull srtings of it out at a time.
Monday (day off) is going to be the big pond clean up day and then I may post more pics depending on how much stuff is floating in there.. fish are fine, they love the algae too, but Bubba the bullfrog has to find new resting placing because the algea has taken over the usual spots.
You know, I didnt think that the frogs had any eggs in my pond this year cuz I thought it was too new.. however I am seeing more and more tiny frogs.. gosh, are they cute! But I never saw any tadpoles.. could be all the cover.
Thank you so much for all the nice words for my pond!!
