Yeah its me
Wow!! It seemed like they got a bunch of color overnight. I am going to post a blurry pic because trying to take picks of them now is like trying to hold the wind. wink.gif
This is a fry that I just love the colors, he looks like a little tiger fish, you just know his name has to be Tigger, and he has a red upper lip, I think I know who mama is. Anyway sorry about the quality of the pic but it does show his tiger markings.. he is going to be so beautiful!!

Cute! More please! biggrin.gif
The calico fry always gets their color early. I have fry about
2 months old that are getting black spots now. The orange came first!
Yeah its me
What will those black stripes turn into.. Red or white?
OldHag
If you are lucky they will stay like that. Otherwise they fade away into the red/orange.
I have experienced both. I could not PM you so I post a pic of my fry here...

Some brownies and one calico.
bluiis
your pics are gone, could you post them again? I would love to see them. How old are they? I think my fry are about 4 months now & I'm waiting for color. They have some black spots and 2 have black in thier tails. I feel I see some under color coming but nothing strong yet.
Yeah its me
I am trying to upload a video at Photobucket but on dial up it is horribly slowwwwww.

Anette, if i could just get one fish to look like the large pic in your sig line.. I would be a happy camper.. specially with tiger stripes. krazy.gif

I didnt realize that the fry got that dark, is that because they are in the pond? I thought all those dark baby fish in my pond were baby minnows..hmmm may have to rethink that!
Yeah its me
Ok, it finally uploaded, here is the link, I hope you can see some of the beautiful colors that they are developing. There is another little fishie, that has really bright orange just on his head, it just glows in the tank lighting.

oops, before I forget.. this video is 2.5mg and about 20 seconds long.

They are very cute! biggrin.gif It's difficult to see but I think you have some calicos in there!
Yes I noticed my brownies are very dark, I think it's because they are in the pond, yes.
My brownies always changes to orange in the same way, first they become darker and then
the orange comes, from the belly and up.
Like this bad pic:

I have pics of my newest pond fry in my thread http://www.kokosgoldfish.invisionzone.com/...mp;#entry682043 and I will keep on update it!
Yeah its me
I looked at your pics...... Outstanding!!! I wish I could get fry pics like that.
Your right, it is hard to see in the video.. I swear!! Every time they see the camera they go behind the plants, and when I am just looking at them, their faces are right at the glass.

I am not sure what you are calling a calico.. I didnt have any white babies ( more like a pale silver ).

I dont really care what colors they end up... this entire journey.. from eggs to fish has been such a discovery and such a joy.. I dont think I will ever be the same.
