Not to turn into 'Dragonlady' here yikes.gif but......

I am noticing a lot of new and inexperienced members posting advice in these sections.
Reading up here will teach you a great deal, but offering advice when you are not experienced in diagnosing and treating sick fish is to be avoided. It is all too easy to give bad advice and end up helping to kill someones fish rather than make it better.
So remember, these sections are like the doctors office or the A&E; if you're not something approaching at least 'a nurse' by all means offer support, but not advice.
Okes?

No hun, not just you - it's an epidemic!!!
Please do not worry. You are only 11 and enthusisatic and that is very good. You'll learn fast and then you'll be able to help others rolleyes.gif

We all give some rotten advice every now and then. My husband recently screwed up his whole tank of tropicals. He asked me what I thought he should do and I told him he should stop keeping fish! (Long story behind it)

By the way Pix very well spoken. I'm afraid I'd never put it so eloquently.

Please, anyone helping in d&d or emergency please remember kokos rules and request from posters that they answer as many questions in the white box as they possibly can which saves Mods and helpers so much time and confusion in diagnosising.

Recently there have been whole pages of threads and guesswork that could have been much shorter and more efficient if these Qs could have been answered early on in the thread.

Thanks all heartpump.gif

bingo.gif its to hard to try helping by guessing on water quality and tank set up.

Sorry I will not say anything else. I just felt so bad that someone was going through the same thing I was. I did note that Someone with more knowledge would get with them soon...just that water seemed to be a HUGE issue. I will refrain! Thanks for all your help!

You are fine, Newfishgirl. smile.gif

Just wondering. I've been on this site pretty much every spare second lately trying to soak up as much info as I can. A lot of times I see people post in emergency 911 when no one else is logged in and I start to just say hi and welcome and then ask them to fill out the box up top to better help you guys out. I did it once, but hesitated to do itagain since I am so new to this board. I didn't want to be stepping on anyone's toes, but at the same time, I know it saves you guys the effort in trying to get people to answer questions. (Kinda like when I first posted and it took about 5 of you until I finally put my params up! haha) I would never offer any sort of advice, but just wanted to make sure that would be helpful and not annoying. (You know.. like who does this new girl think she is!? LOL)

Tha's ok, countrylovah. The sooner we get water parameter information the better smile.gif
