and I hear my daughter say "mom I see babies". I had know months ago that the fish in the lower pond (few comets, a shubunkin, 2 Oranda's and a Pearlscale) had spawned but I never checked to see if any of the eggs had fertilized. Apparently they did. I only saw 2 fish last night. One was black and the other was tri-colored. They are about 1 inch (so they've been in there for several weeks). I have no idea who the parents are so it will be interesting to see if these babies develop wens or not.

Cool! Is there any chance that you could get some pitcures?

I'm going to try this weekend (hopefully they'll cooperate).

Don't you just love when that happens

We discovered last night that we actually have 5 babies. 3 black ones, one tri-colored and one orange and white. They are all finally figuring out what goes on at feeding time and are coming out of their hiding places. I'm hoping there may be a few more.
