I've got my brood spread out between a 5 gallon and a 10 gallon. The mama's are in the 10 gallon (2 fancy, 1 wild) along with the current brood (few weeks old) and my lone Barb, who probably ate the brood that was born a few days ago.

The 5 gallon has Dad and my 4 month old fry, who are moving out as soon as I find someplace that wants some more males. I'm keeping the females until they get a lit tle bigger.

The guppies will multiple no problems so don't worry about your tank looking empty

I have a guppy tank and can't stop them breeding

Just make sure you have plants. Some floating as well. Don't worry about some fry getting eaten by the parents as you well find that if you put a mother in a breeder trap and all the fry are saved, some won't make anyway.

We have them in a breeder trap, and in the 12 gal, there is 1 female guppy, 1 male, 2 cardinal tetras, and two little hatchetfish, lots of plants, and a hidey hole. I think they are gonna be okie dokie, they are so cute!
