Okay, so my grandmother has this pond outside her house and she used to have baby koi in it. Well, they got eaten by a snake

and now the pone is literally CRAWLING with little black tadpoles!!!

What do we do??!!?!

dry the pond out for and scoop out all the tadpoles, crule, but how can you catch them all?

kill the algae. that's what their eating. If you get rid of the food source you won't have the problem

Buy a turtle.
I love tadpoles. I would try to relocate as many as you can and then nuke the pond with bleach or algae killer.

Yes, yes, we've tried that too!!! We treat it with the bleach for 2 weeks, and within the week we stop, they're back!!!!! ahhhhhhhh!!! I don't even know why, now thatits summer not spring, but they are!

I guess just drain the pond and leave it dry for a while

She's tried that too, but oh well. She's moving and will have a new pond at her new house and hopefully better luck.

oh wow the best thing would be to drain it for sure or add some salt to the water im talking a
few pounds. i love tadpoles but sometimes you just have to get rid of them. good luck... btw you can get the salt at your local home depot if you have one

this is what a local pond place told me so all you can do is try it.

if you don't have any fish in there, why can't you just let the tadpoles grow up into frogs and toads? they'll hop out and disperse. they'll keep reappearing because the frogs and toads are continually breeding in the pond.

I think that the fish that escaped the snake were killed by the massive numbers of tadpoles, lol. Mmmm, we shall see what happens.
