Second girl with my smaller male that has similar coloring but with black eyes


My Petsmart got some more in and this time I went for it! They are soooo beautiful--I just love the coloring. They fascinate me for some reason. So far the male isn't showing much interest and of course the girls don't care about him! I read that female st's prefer the larger males over the smaller ones so maybe I'll have to introduce them to my other male at some point. I'm not really ready for fry right now anyway, but think it'd be cool.

My petsmart also has them. Almost got 2 for my planted tank but I passed since I'm over protective about my shrimp.

I love the first girls coloration. Its very pretty.

the girls don't like the male huh? you could try putting in a regular red-eyed red swordtail in with them and if he does succeed in impregnating the females, there's still a good chance a percentage of the offspring will be kohaku swords.

kohaku swords have been developed from crossings of albino and red-eyed red swords after all...

I love them! Im a big fan of swords. I had a few when I kept tropicals.
