Full Version: Losing The First Fry
Forum > The Goldfish Topics > Goldfish Discussion > Goldfish Breeding
Yeah its me
I was looking into the fry tank (again) and I noticed one of the smaller ones staying close to the WH that I have in there and at feeding time it did not join the others, it seems that while floating it kinda starts to turn on its side, I know that this is expected with fry but it is harder than I thought.

It is hard. It is frustrating and I still want to rant and rave and DO something. I am a problem solver and I do not like problems that cannot be solved.

This, however, is most likely exactly that. An unsolveable problem. An act of Nature.

I am soooo sorry..... 00001649.gif

Well, he is still with us, he does not seem to listing to his side as much but he is not eating either. He seems to want to stay near the top of the aquarium. We will see how he is doing thru the night.
Yeah its me
He is now down at the bottom eating.. thats a good sign right?

i have some feeding at the bottom they do eventually go to the top, this is my first time with goldfish fry, but i been taking tips from my friend with tropicals and he says that if they feed from the top they stand a better chance so i would watch but you never know i had 30 fry i am now down to 28 i only lost 2 in a month and i been told that is to be expected. maybe someone more experienced could help but thats all i know
Yeah its me
I am moving this to the tank section.. I may have found the problem. Thanks!!
