My 2 males are constantly chasing my big orange female oranda around, with their mouths on her bum. It started last night, and my red/orange/white oranda laid some eggs. They are no longer chasing her, and dint chase my calico at all.

My oranage oranda, who we used to think was male as when we first got her, she chased around like a male would. She doesnt look too stressed by it, but her bum area is starting to look at little bit red from the males constant chasing. she is still pooping fine and eating. Is looking less balanced with swimming, but it could just be because she is tierd.

Is there anything I can do short of putting Mr Shubie in the pond. he nets and hates me! so that would not be much fun.

Would a big water change help at all??

It seemed to all start after i fed froozen bloodworm last night, could that be a trigger for the males to want to breed?? or is it coincidence??

Apologies for all the questions, my other females don't hold their eggs, but she just doesnt seem to want to let go.

I think i worked out why there was a lot of chasing. we have just had a big storm here. The pond fish had been chasing over the past 2 days aswel. hopefully all will settle down now
