Yeah its me
Does foam always equal spawning? I can look at my pond and feed the fishies around 6:30 am and there will be no foam but I can come back a half hour later and there will be bunches of foam usualy right around the WH and the water taro and that seems to be the favorite place for the little fish to spawn. I just found 10 more newly hatched fry clinging to the side of the pond.

I tell ya.. if these guys dont quit there is gonna be some fishie fixing going on! blink.gif

The protien released during spawning does tend to foam - and when you have energetic multiple spawnings, they can kick it up into a froth. You should check your chemistry carefully - all that extra biological matter in the water can spike the water parameters! Messy messy messy!!!

I have seen outdoor ponds where the foam and eggs are thrown up onto the sides of houses and rocks and such - so violent is the spawning!

Daryl! What would I do without you?? heartpump.gif It is raining so I can expect another round.. I wish my red and white comets would spawn, I would love to watch the color develop on the fry.
I do check the params and I do a 25% water change everyday, I have to take the water from the filter side so I dont take any babies.
