Hey everyone,

Finally where " Settled" Into a new home, And I don't think will be moving for a good 10 or so years(Lol that is my mom), So I think I can Finally start an Official post/Topic on my Pond. Its been put off and on for about 3-4 years because of all the moving and things that have been happening over the past few years. So I'm going to give it another shot with the plans! lol

I know there are quite a few Pond Gurus Out there, So if you can offer any knowledge or help with my project
that would be just amazing!. I will first post pictures of my " Base" Blue prints and pictures of the area where i want to build the pond. its going to be minimum about 1500 Gallons to -2500 Gallons.

This Fall if Everything goes well, I should At least have the hole dug out and ready for spring =)

Here are some quick Photoshop "Blue prints" That where quickly made. I will have real Sketches up sometime soon. These are just to give an idea. rofl3.gif Lol My water falls look horrible

*** Almost forgot to mention, The red line is the outline of where the garden is going. The blue is the pond.)

The plants won't be much of a problem ( That is when Landscaping after I build the pond) Where over
loaded with them in front, The plants in front have not been Seperated and " Weeded" for years.
Here are some pics, There all wild plants, and there very beautiful. If you can Identify any of them please
do =) I have no clue what Half of them are lol.

All right I am a pond guru if you call it that more of an addict.lol. The Pond plans look very nice and For the pond 2 or not the main pond I would turn that into a bog pond which is a great filter.(Should not be only) Also while digging the pond don't be scared to go deeper because with koi (I have) the deeper the pond the bigger they get.Oh ya and I don't know if you had this on your blue prints but you should have a bottom drain if your pond is bigger than 1000 gallons.

Thats A great Idea Lol, The plan for pond 2 was to have alot of Water plants, it would be very shallow, 1-2 feet and half deep about. So like a bog I think.I don't have a huge budget. What exacly is a bottom drain? I can't quite remember, is it just a hole on the bottom of your pond that you can unplug to empty the pond lol?

I'll have sketches up by tomorrow =).

It is a drain at the bottom that is run through pvc up to your skimmer/filter and keeps the bottom much cleaner. It is going to cost around 400$ including the skimmer to do it though
