ok i had 3 fishies in a 10 gallon tank and 2 died, so i put the last one in my extra 1 gallon just incase the 2 fish that died had some bacteria that got into the water.
how should i properly clean the 10 gallon? like the gravel, water, plants, filter cartridges?
and my last fish vinnie whos still alive isnt showing any signs of sickness AT ALL.

you can either use a bleach dilloute or use product called pp. you fill the tank up and pour in some of either and that will kill the nasties.

well im going to take out all the gravel and go bare bottom until i get river rocks. also how will i treat my anacharis plant and my 3 fake plants? i already boiled a treasure chest that they can hide in, in treated tap water, im sure that killed the nasties from that.
but since im taking the gravel out and the water is already nasty, should i put the bleach in it now, or wait until i change the water? or both?
is bleach dilloute a brand, or type of bleach? i thought you just use normal bleach...

bleach dilloute is a dillouted form of bleach it is standard bleach mixed with water

Hello Squidward - sorry about all your troubles.
There is a very good pinned article about disinfecting at the top of this section.
Bleach is probably the easiest, so you can get the correct ratio and proceedure from the article.
As far as the plant is concerned, you could quarantine it for a while or there is another article in the plant section on how to disinfect plants. I have just bought some plants and I'm QTing them and dosing with Sterazin which kils parasites. There are various ways you can do it.......
