My grandfather has a pond (dont know size etc) He as 1 Koi for sure and the other looks like a shubkin I think, its shorter then the other and a little more round. He noticed there are 3 babys in the pond now. 2 look like the shubkin caclio and 1 is soild black with a little white on the tail fin. Has any heard of a gold fish or koi that color other then black moors. Theres no way it could be a black moor. There has been only the Koi and shubkin in it. How is it possible that a caclio fish and a white orange koi have a soild black baby? The black on is shaped totally different then the others too.

I just saw at the Koi place beautiful black ones. I don't remember what they called them but they were $$$.
If you can tell color already your babbies must be pretty big.
Congrats on the babbies with only 3 fish in your pond.
I would guess they are all shubunkins. I have one that's black & blue. Your dark ones color might change as he gets older.
Can you post pic's? I would love to see them.

Could be that the babies haven't gotten their final color yet - fry have a blackish/brownish/greyish color for a while before they turn anything else. I currently have oranda fry, and all except for 4 are black. They'll change eventually, just like the 4.
Are you sure one of the adults is a shubunkin? When you look at his head, do you see whiskers like a koi would have?

There are 5 babies in the pond the rain here cleared up and could see all of them now. 3 are black and 2 are caclio. 1 black one is alot bigger then the others and has white on his his tail fin. My grandfather said that 1 is a koi and 1 is a goldfish its single tail so must be a shubunkin. Not sure how old the babies are cause we just noticed they are there. I have been tring to get pics but the only one I can get is the koi. What would the babies be considered as a koi or shubunkin or a mix?

Well, I have seen pictures of koi/goldfish mix, and they usually look pretty ugly when fully grown. I'd wait and see until they get bigger, so you can judge more clearly what exactly they are. And remember, no matter what they turn out to be, they are still your babies, and you'll love 'em anyway. I have plenty of "mutts" which I dearly love, and I don't give much that they wouldn't get a penny in anybody's eyes.
One was a fantail with very long tail fin, but not a deep body. He had pompons and telecope eyes, and I felt extremely sorry for him in a tiny 10 gl tank with smaller goldfish. He measured at least 9 inches, and he lived with me for 2 more years.
