Ok people. Need some help and nobody here has let me down yet. This is my deal, I saved a goldfish from
a horrible life. I'm pretty sure it's a baby common. It's about an inch long right now. I have it in a 10
gallon tank ( I know I need a 20 gallon!) This is my question, .... Common goldfish are schooling fish, meaning they do better in life with a little company. I know dwarf Otocinelus and Hillstream Loaches are compatible with goldfish, but I don't want to have to get a 50 plus gallon tank. The most I think I could handle is 35-40 gallons. Does anyone know what kind of fish woul be compatible with a common goldfish, but at the same time, not require me to get a 50 plus gallon tank. Please someone, show me the light!

Ps. I just got my camera in the mail. Will post pics of my tank and Salad in this thread.

Thanks a million,

p.ss. sorry for posting in the wrong topic, I didn't realize there was a room for compatible fish,
but seeing as this is also a question of limited tank size due to my not wanting a huge tank, i really
appreciate any help.

I have had good success with rubber lipped plecos with my goldfish.. they always behave and are pretty small.

I have had problems in the past with Hillstream Loaches and Otocinelus.. but perhaps I didn't give them enough of a chance.
