now i love all animals but when i came outside thismorning to check on my pond fish i almost flipped. i went to the pond to find that something (probably a racoon b/c we got new trash cans so they cant eat out of the garbage) ate half of my floating plant. if you cant call it eating b/c he more less just bit a whole bunch of chunks of of it . so now it doesnt stay up right it has to stay in a floating plastic container or it flips almost upside down. and one of my lillie plants finally got a flower( it bloomed for the first time yesterday) and the animl ate the top half of that off too. we are setting a trap(which we cought one with a couple weeks ago by our trash cans) and so i am hoping we catch another one . of course i wont hurt it(although sometimes i think i would like to head.gif hehe) but i wont. we will set it free at a wildlife part a few miles away(where there are plenty of trashcans at nearby houses for ti to get into hehe well wish me luck at catching that meanold raccoon(or whatever it is i just hope that floating plant makes it the flower still bloomed today si ithink it will be fine and anither flower is starting to grow but i dont know about the floating one since soo much is missing.

We rarely see raccoons where we live but we get something just as bad, opossums! We had a male nesting in our garage but he left during the summer. They most they do is eat the dog/cat food and get my female cat all flared up. I adore how bold they are and if they were cleaner(no ticks and fleas) I would gladly welcome them into my garage to sleep.

fishcrazy- Most likely a wire "snap" cage trap like they rent at humane centers for catching feral cats. Animal control brought one to my grandmothers when a poor young opossum got stuck in some pool equipment.

he wopuld really have to go swimming to get the fish and they are pretty small so they arent as easy to catch plus they usually stay towards the bottom especially at night it was caught last night and we setit free but it ate the last bulby part of the floating plant so i doubt it will make it it just has part that is starting to grow in and that is it so i hope it makes it and yeah it is one of those traps that they walk into and when they step on the flat think that sticks up at an angle the door flaps shut like the one here pretty much:

sorry about your plants, but thank God he didn't get your fish!
Have you ever used a scare crow? It's a motion sensor water jet.
If an animal or anything breaks the sensor line it shots water out
like a strong sprinkler. We got it when we lost a few Koi to
blue herons. It seems to really do the trick for us. It cost about $75
