the guy at the petstore thismorning when i called who said "no we dont have the pearlscale anymore" didnt know what he was talking about b/c i called before we went to leave and they had it and held it for me so i went to pick him up yay i am kindof worried b/c he was acting fine in the store and when i put him in the tub for his salt bath but when i put him in the pond he just kind of swam/floated to the bottom and now hw isnt really swimming or anything he isnt lopsided or anything but he just isnt swimming around i let him adjust to the water so i dont think it is the temp change plus the water in the pond is about 65 degree anyway and that is what the petstore says they keep their tanks at so i dont know maybe it is just b/c the pond is so much bigger than his tank at the petstore anyway here he his:

i tried to take the pictures without taking him out of the bucket but he wouldnt hold still which is why i thought it was weird when he wouldnt move in the pond so i think it is just the size issue especially since the other fish are about 2x his size at the smallest poor little guy he didnt look that small in the petshop (but i like that he is small b/c he is soo cute) b/c their tanks are so small i hope he adjusts really well b/c i am really worried about him.

Hes such a fat little thing. I like him. He may not be swimming because he may be a little stressed from the move.

i think it is just stress from the move b/c when i went out a little while ago he was swimming around alot he was still staying to the one side of the pond but he was moving around and he wasnt resting on the bottom anymore so i think he will be fine in the pond. if he was still acting the same i was going to bring him in but he seems to be doing better and i dont want to stress him out more by bringing him in and i dont really have anywhere to put him b/c i dont have a rubbermaid container the one in the picture is realy small maybe a half gallon so yeah. i will check on him once more before it gets too dark but i think he is ok now. thanks alot

i just went out and checked on him and he is on the other side of the pond. yay. he isnbt really moving but none of the fish were b/c it is bedtime they are usually pretty slow b/c the temp changes and it gets dark but he was swimming a little and he wasnt on the bottom the entire time just a little he stays clear of the other fish though i think the reason he moved was b/c the other fish went on the side he was on. i think he is afraid of them b/c like i said he is about 1/2 the smallest ones size. i will check on him in the morning and tell you how he is

i dont have a name yet but i am thibking of one. i checked on him this morning and he was doing well he is swimming more but still stays to the sides of the pond he cant eat the sinking pellet food until it gets really soggy and by then all the other fish would have it so i bring him up with a net and feed him in the net with flake food i sink tothe bottom he is eating pretty good so i think he will do just fine when he fully adjusts ill keep you posted thanks

I adore pearlies. What a tiny little guy you found! I've noticed tank fish tend to take awhile to adjust to pond and vise versa. Its good to hear he is swimming around. I bet once he makes some friends he will become a little piglet.

today i had to clean out the pond so i take the fish out and put them in this container and he had to be near them nad when i put them back in the pond he was hanging out withthe other ones him and the ranchu seem to hang out together more b/c they are the slowest the fantail is pretty fast and stays with the commons/commets thay are also both the smallest.
