I was a Algea fix user and it worked great. after reading another post I bought the microbe-lift pl. we have been using it for 2 weeks and the pond is a mess, full of algea I never saw it this bad.

Do you think it's just purging?
Did this happen to any of you in the begining?

I was wondering if it's because our pond is warmer than the 55 it says on the bottle.
The weather here has been in the high 90 for over a week.

I had problems getting rid of algea this year too. What finally worked was daily water changes. Since I have a 1,000 pond I was dumping about 100 gallons every couple of days and eventually it cleared up. I also added a bunch of water hyacinths which seem to help clear it up too.
