I bought this

IPB Image

for my 20 gallon tank, since my 55 does not have room for decor I thought I would pretty up the 20 a little. This ornament though, unfrotunately, is hollow. However, it does have several holes at the top, and I was thinking of winding a bubble wall through it. Would that make it ok not to fill? Especially if I use the bubble wall and make sure that the water does not become stagnant by cleaning the ornament with each water change, something I will have to do anyway since this tank has an algae issue?

Just want to be safe and I have never really used ornaments in my tanks before. Thanks!

Well i had that thing once and tried to place a bubbler in it. Problem it kept on floating on me.

You could try it out and if not then fill it up.

Thanks koko! We shall see...I was worried about floating with it too. :-)

smile.gif Nice Bridge Jen.I have this thing about Bridges,I just love them. I don't know the size of the openings, but maybe you can add some of those small ornamental river like rocks if you have any sort of floaty issues. That's what I use anyway. They're easy to dump out and clean.
I normally don't advise using hollow ornaments, but I know you and the fact that you'll definitely clean under it. exactly.gif Take some pics of the finished tank. smile.gif
