Sounds good. I've heard some people freeze it and let it thaw, but as long as it's easy for the fish to chew I think it's fine. I'm glad to hear that your attempt was successful! biggrin.gif

If they like it that much, it certainly doesn't hurt to introduce it every day! In the wild or in a pond, carp-derived fish often eat many plants and it's definitely required to help keep their digestive tract healthy. As long as you use it to supplement their staple diet of pellets/flakes/whatever, then it should be fine.

I'm glad your fishies liked it. I tried spinach with some of my fish a while back, prepared the same way and they just wouldn't touch it! I bought plastic lettuce clips especially for feeding greens like that and they don't like it - they'll only eat it in gel food form, Fussy fish! rolleyes.gif smile.gif

My goldies love spinach! They are big ehough that I don't even have to cook it. Just clip a few leaves to the vegi clip and watch it dissapear in about 1 minute.

One word of caution. Spinach has a chemical/nutrient in it that will block the absorption of iron when eaten. So even though it is full of iron you cannot absorb it because of this other chemical. But as long as you are feeding other foods at seperate times your fish should be fine.
