Hello all, I have a black moore and a couple of months ago one of his eyes got really big. I treated for popeye and nothing happened. I asked another guy and he said if it hasnt popped by now and the medication didnt help that sometimes their eyes will have one grow bigger than the other. I know that it could also be a tumor. His eye is still huge. Has not bothered him in the least.

It just started bleeding for a minute or so and now I see a blister kinda on the back of it's eye. what could be going on? Should I retreat for infection or what? I have an oranda in the same tank and hes fine, never had a problem.

I am not a disease expert, but I would think that may be a tumor or something. But try not to panic and I would not do anything until you get some solid advice from one of the experts here.

I would make a post in the 911 section, making sure to answer as many questions as you can from the box at the top-that will help them help you. Also, if you can get a picture that would be great.

Here is the link to make a new post in 911; http://www.kokosgoldfish.invisionzone.com/...o=new_post&f=72

Until then, make sure your water is as close to perfect as possible (0 ammonia, 0 nitrites and 20 or less for nitrates). If you have a hospital tank available you could get it set up in the meantime as well.

Best of luck to you.
