So the fish hatchery is still in full gear. Today I found two baby platties playing tag around one of my plant jars in the 25 gal tank. I am guessing that they are a week or two old already as they are about the size of the baby mollies that are 3 or so weeks old now, and one of the female platties started looking slimmer about a week and a half ago.

They are sorta cream colored now but their fins are already turning black. At first I thought they looked like a really short and fat minnow, that's probably why I had not spotted them before now.

So the 25 gallon tank now has (main part of tank): 5 adult white clouds, 2 female balloon belly mollies, 2 sunset platties, 52 white cloud fry.
In the fry net: 6 white cloud fry , 3 molly fry, and 2 platty fry.

The minnow fry that are in the main part of the tank are moving soon, about half of them are big enough now but need to wait till most of them are that size.

Good luck with the babies. 52. Wow. That is so many. What do you do with them all, do the other fish eat them?

None of my adult minnows ever bothered any of the fry. I am assuming that any other platty or molly fry got eaten before I ever saw them. All the fry that were in the nets are now in the main part of the tank. Roughly half of the minnow fry have found new homes.

Today I found another molly fry. It likes to hang out in the corner of the tank with about 3-4 of the cherry shrimp now in that tank. It's only about 1/4 inch long, head to tail and currently solid black.

I will try to borrow my dad's camera sometime this week to get updated pics.
