I've searched the net to try and find more specific information as to
when the goldfish breeding season is to no avail. All I can find is
that it starts in Spring and continues through the Summer, but does
anyone have any more specific info as to which MONTHS this relates
to? Also, would the season be a slightly different time of the year
in the UK compared to warmer countries such as the States?
I am aware that fish kept in acquariums don't entirely follow the
natural spawning patterns of fish kept in ponds or those in the wild
because tank temperatures tend to be pretty consistent all year round
and don't undergo the same seasonal temperature fluctuations, but I
am guessing there is still some kind of a mating season.
I have been having problems with one of my Black
Moors (Romilly) who is being aggressive towards my other Black Moor
(Gladstone). I'm sure that it is 'breeding' related as he only
started acting this way once their tubercles appeared. At the moment they are separated by a divider.
I am eager to find out when I can expect this aggressive behaviour to
diminish (if I am right that it is related)?
Can anyone help?
