Hi. One of my shubunkins is acting very strange indeed. He's started to spend quite a lot of time at the bottom of the tank. He has no visible physical injuries or problems at all. He does get up and swin around, but it seems as if the problem is swimming. I did think it could be swim bladder, but he hasn't started to bloat up. I'm going to feed some peas this afternoon just to be sure.

The one thing i have noticed is he has started to release quite large air bubbles from his mouth. Maybe there is a gas problem inside him that's causing some discomfort? Or he's deprived of air? That would be strange because i have an open top tank and it's well aeriated with good water movement. Plus, my common goldfish is showing no signs of problems.

I'm at a loss so any help would be appreciated.

Regards.
