my fry will be 3 weeks tomoz , i have about 20 left outta around 60. and i've only just put the [fake] plant back in with the adults yesterday which the eggs where on last time, and now its covered in eggs again....... krazy.gif

my head is telling me to leave the eggs and let nature take its course, but my heart is wanting me to remove the eggs. can i put the plant into the tank with the other fry? or should i wait till they hatch and put the fry with the others? [ will the 3 week old fry eat the new batch] im completely stuck on what to do....

has anyone else had this happen? and how many times are they going to lay eggs? [because they are still at it, even as i type] and dyson [my female] is still very fat. but as u can tell by her name she is a hoover and loves her food.

argh this is a nightmare, im enjoying raising the fry even tho they are hard work, but with two lots.....

any advice would be a great help, i cant afford to get another tank ect.

i waited as long a i could for a reply,

i have removed the plant and the eggs hatched and now my new batch are living with the first batch. there seem to be no problems so far, the first batch chased the second batch when it went pass them for an hour or so with none being ate[long time to watch but worth it] now there not even bothered with them.

the first batch are coming along fine thanks to the advice on this forum, they are now 17 days old. many have died started with 60 now currently have 14 very healthy fry left. with none being deformed.

and i dont know if this is good or bad news but they are still breeding. with two batches already, but whatever happens i will try my best.

You think goldfish breed a lot, try having guppies rofl3.gif They're the rabbits of the fish world.

Good luck with your fry!

hehe, my goldfish must think there guppies lol, got another batch of eggs this morning. but i am trying to leaving them be.... and they are still mating, i really want to part them and give the female a rest but then she may become eggbound and die. i may even rehome the adults as much as i love them and am glad to experiance the joy of raising fry.
