Full Version: Problem With Moor

Halloween
I noticed my Black Moor last night hiding in a corner of the 30 gallon with her fins clamped. I placed her in a 10 gallon (with 2 other small fish) thinking it was probably just to much space/strong current/big fish for her to handle. Well, I just took a look at her and both of her eyes seem cloudy. I did the finger test and she fallows my fingers about half of the time. So I don't know if she's just not feeling up to chasing them around or if maybe her vision is impaired. She's eating just fine but she does bottom rest occasionally. She doesn't move around a lot, just stays near the bottom with her head down. The water in the 10 gallon good, no ammonia or Nitrite or Nitrate. The only medicines I have are regular salt, epsom salt, Maracyn 2, Mardel, and Parasite Clear tabs. I will be unable to get any additional medication for at least the rest of this week. Could any of those listed help her any? Maybe some aquarium salt?

No other symptoms present, JUST noticed this. No ones been picking on her, no scrapes, bumps or anything.

Hi, im not sure what could be wrong with your fishie. Just to let you know Black Moors are naturaly half blind because of their eyes. If it gets worse maybe try posting in the emergency area.

I could still use help. Things are a lot worse now. All three of them in the tank now are next to lifeless at the bottom. They are bunching together and are at the bottom. Limited gill movement. I'm about to do a 99% water change to see if maybe it was a bad batch of water (I did a water change right before I put the Moor in and thats when the major problems started)

What are the params on these tanks? And by the way,it's not the best idea to start switching fish to other tanks when you think that they're sic,k as you could be placing the rest of your fish in danger.
One of the first reasons that come to mind for cloudy eyes is ammonia burn. Cloudy eye could also show up with a parasite or bacterial problem too.Let's see where your params are before we start guessing though.
Any other signs/symptoms besides sitting on bottom?
