have a female that is pregnant, have in a breeder net, she looks like she is gonna burst. The gravid spot aint a spot is almost the whole back end of her and still she isnt having them. Is this normal? I feel mean having her in the breeder net and the other fishes just stopping by to visit outside the net once in awhile.. : )

guess no one does guppies lol

No one who was online at that time biggrin.gif

Don't feel sorry for her, think on the young ones... if you don't put her in the net they will become an easy meal. I have a good eye for livebearers, normally the fry are born within a couple of days after isolating the pregnant female. Good luck with your guppies!

i think she is waiting for a c-section cause she has been in there since friday afternoon, looking miserable and nothing <shrug> i have no clue ~ and thanks for responding : )

is there such a thing as stubborn guppy syndrome?

guppies wont release untill they feel comfortable and safe..... also if you switch her out she might release them because of stress. i believes she will have them soon. after she has them feed them fry food from the store or you can crumble tropical fish food really small and give it to them.. yaya. wish you luck. tongue.gif blink.gif
